THE CLIENT

RAYMLEE is a Seattle-based wedding and event photographer specializing in elopements, engagements, and life’s pivotal milestones. Since transitioning from the tech industry in 2018, Ray has cultivated a reputation for exceptional quality and a deeply personal approach. The objective for this rebrand was to establish a sophisticated foundation for future growth—transforming a successful business into a legacy brand. At its core, RAYMLEE is driven by accountability, togetherness, and a commitment to making luxury feel entirely approachable and stress-free.

CONCEPT

The design process was an exploration of balance, moving through strategic directions that challenged the brand’s positioning. The final identity strikes a chord between high-end elegance and editorial playfulness. This was achieved through the intentional use of color, dramatic shifts in typographic scale, and a layout style that feels both modern and timeless.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

DIGITAL PRESENCE:
INSTAGRAM STRATEGY

  • Color Palette: Built on a foundation of sophisticated harmony, the palette uses Pistachio Green as the core brand hero. This is supported by soft neutrals—Sugar and Bisque—and grounded by a high-contrast Ink Black.

  • Typography: A trio of fonts creates a multi-dimensional brand voice. Atelier Femme brings lyrical elegance; Nohemi offers a clean, modern structure; and Monospec adds a technical "mono" edge—a subtle nod to Ray’s roots in the tech sector.

Because the brand lives largely in a digital space, a comprehensive system of Instagram Templates was developed. The goal was to provide a high-end, cohesive aesthetic that Ray could easily manage and scale himself, ensuring the brand remains consistent across all touchpoints.

The strategy moves beyond the standard grid, utilizing a library of strategic content types designed for dynamic storytelling:

  • Informative & Testimonial: Clean, typographic layouts for service menus and client praise that build authority and trust.

  • Storytelling Carousels: Editorial-style layouts designed to showcase specific weddings through a mix of imagery and narrative text.

  • Snapshots & BTS: Versatile templates for showcasing one or two hero images, along with more casual "Behind the Scenes" layouts for detail shots and candid moments.

  • The Result: A rhythmic digital environment that balances professional polish with raw, authentic storytelling—making the transition from follower to client feel seamless and intentional.

LOGOS

The primary logo is a study in minimalism and technical metaphor. A custom serif typeface is accented by floating, diagonally placed serifs designed to mimic camera crop marks. This "viewfinder" motif places the viewer directly behind the lens, emphasizing the ability to find and preserve the perfect frame within a chaotic, joyful day. It serves as a literal visual translation of the brand tagline: "Capturing memories one frame at a time."
